Spring Skating School

Canskate Session Information

Information for Kinderskate, Juveniles, Junior, Junior "Plus", and Junior "Later Skater" Programs

Please note: No refunds after the program has started without a doctor's letter.

  • skaters are taught to skate using the Skate Canada Canskate System
  • skaters are fully supervised in a fun-filled, caring and structured environment
  • sessions include an on-ice warm-up which prepares the skaters for the session
  • sessions include ONE 30 minute skating skills group lesson when skaters learn the elements of the Canskate badge system. During these skills lessons the skaters are in small groups of not more than 6 skaters per professional coach.
  • Helmet (CSA approved) must be worn in all Kinderskate and Juvenile programs.

Please note: A responsible adult must be in the arena at all times for skaters in the Kinderskate and Juvenile sessions.

Kinderskate /Canskate:

Mondays at 5:45pm - $90.00

  • Beginners or relative beginners 4 years and up who have not passed Stage 3
  • Skater/coach ratio 1:6
  • One 45 minute session per week including one 30 minute group lesson
  • Mondays 5:45 – 6:30pm

Juniors/Junior Plus and "Later Skaters":

Mondays at 5:00pm - $90.00

  • Junior Skaters have passed stage 3 but not stage 5 badge.
  • "Later Skaters" are 9 years and up and are relative beginners
  • One 45 minute session per week including one 30 minute group lesson
  • Mondays 5:00 – 5:45pm

Skate Canada STARskate/Test Stream Session Information

Sessions: Bronze, Silver and Gold

Please note: No refunds after the program has stated without a doctor's letter.

These sessions are for skaters who have entered or who are entering the Skate Canada Star/ Test Stream. This program offers opportunities for skaters of all ages to develop fundamental figure skating skills in the areas of ice dance, skating skills, free skate and interpretive skating

Bronze

$210.00

  • Passed Stage 5 badge but not the Preliminary Freeskate or all the Junior Bronze Dances.
  • Membership includes 4 sessions per week
  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday

Silver

$210.00

  • Passed 2 of the following: Prelim Freeskate (both parts), all Junior Bronze Dances, Preliminary Skills.
  • Membership includes 4 sessions per week
  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday

Gold

$210.00

  • Passed 2 or more of the following: Jr. Bronze Freeskate (both parts),all Junior Silver Dances, Senior Bronze Skills.
  • Membership includes 4 sessions per week
  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday
