Leaside Skating Club 2010-2011 Synchro Tryouts

The Leaside Skating Club is aiming to field 4 synchronized skating teams for the 2010-2011 season. The team categories will be dependant on the skill level and number of skaters who attend the tryouts.

Interested skaters must either:

  • - pre-register online at www.leasideskatingclub.com
    OR
  • - if unable to register online contact the LSC Synchronized Skating Coordinator – Meredith Tutching at meredithagilbert@hotmail.com.

The fee for attending try-outs is $20 per skater per team.

Elementary

(One Program)
An introductory program to foster love of synchro and basic skills. Skaters must have completed Stage 5 in the Canskate Program prior to entry Under 12 years of age Must have Canskate Stage 5 badge


Juvenile

(One Program)
A developmental program to encourage team work and build synchro skills Under 15, most under 12 years of age Working on Preliminary/Junior Bronze test levels in StarSkate program


Novice

(One Program)
A program to enhance competition performance with a continued focus on training and skills 10 to 18, most over 12 and under 15 years of age Working Senior Bronze/Junior Silver or higher levels in StarSkate program


Junior

(Short program
and
Long program)
A new elite team at LSC training towards excellence at the National level. Future plans will build toward a goal of international competition 12 to 18 as specified in ISU Rule 108 Working on Senior Silver/Gold Levels in StarSkate program
